Frostbite is the sixteenth mission of SOCOM: Combined Assault and the third mission of Operation Polaris. This mission is unlocked by completing Trailblazer. In this mission, Fireteam Alpha must disarm all of the bombs at an oil pumping station.

Pre-Mission

Mission Selection

Adjikistani military forces have rigged a major oil pumping station with explosives and are threatening to detonate them if the U.S. military does not immediately withdraw. Move quickly and defuse all the explosives before the Adjikistani military makes good on their threat.

Briefing

Team, we have a tense situation. Adjikistani military forces have seized a major pumping station that feeds Central Asia's main oil pipeline and are threatening to blow it up unless the US military withdraws. The loss of this station would throw oil markets into turmoil and cause an ecological situation in the area costing millions to clean up. The rebel forces are not in position to assault the station, and any use of conventional U.S. military forces may trigger even harsher enemy actions.

Mission Info

You must infiltrate the pumping station and disarm all explosives. It is vital that you remain invisible; if spotted you'll likely have little time to defuse the bombs. This last ditch effort of the Adjikistani government may be a bluff, but it's one we're not willing to call.

Mission Objectives:
1. Defuse bombs.

Dossier

We've analyzed all available intel on the pumping station and have marked probable locations of the bombs. There will be numerous hostiles in the area, which if alerted, may attempt to detonate the explosives.

Intel also suggests that a squad of mercenaries may also be in the area. They are sure to be heavily armed, so use caution.

  • Defuse Third Bomb: Defuse the third bomb that is located somewhere in the facility.
  • Defuse Fourth Bomb: Defuse the fourth bomb that is located somewhere in the facility.
  • Defuse Fifth Bomb: Defuse the fifth bomb that is located somewhere in the facility.
• Neutralize Death Squad: Neutralize a mercenary death squad with extreme prejudice. (Not intially present)
