In FTB and FTB2, you control him as the player. He specializes nearly in all skills. His name is Raymond Stokes, and in an FTB2 cutscene, he was revealed to be from the "East coast" as SPECTER said to him, referring that SANDMAN lives in the East Coast of the US. His signature weapon as mentioned in FTB2 is the M16A2 Rifle with any attachment to it.

Fireteam BravoEdit

He is the team leader, with LONESTAR as his fellow back-up. his team was deployed to Chile, oland. He and LONESTAR were both responsible for the rescue of kidnapping of the Chilean Vice President. They were one of the key contributors for the downfall of the CLL, NAPF, and a South Asian pirate group. They also led to the capture of several WMDs in Poland.

Fireteam Bravo 2Edit

Again, you reprise as him, you can select any SEAL to carry, you can use either WRAITH, LONESTAR or BRONCO to help in missions. Unlike in the first game, his team's deployment on centers around the fictional country of Adjikistan. They were sent to investigate a village held by Adjiki paramilitary wing soldiers after a UH-60 Black Hawk was shot down carrying a CIA personnel on board. Due to the lack of law enforcement in the country, they also had their assignments extended to anti-illegal drugs operations against a local drug cartel. As the game progresses, it is revealed that Adjikistan's President, Ismail Karim, is indeed corrupt and is using his powers and ties with European mercenaries to kill those who were against him prompting the U.S. to turn their back and support the rebel group in overthrowing the government. In the later part of the game, SANDMAN and his team manages to capture Aiken O'Rourke that led to the downfall of both the Shadow Element group and the Adjikistani government.

Fireteam Bravo 3Edit

He was replaced by WRAITH as the fireteam's commander. Also, he is no longer the main playable character in the single-player campaign. In the third game, he is evidently ageing and recently came out of retirement from active service after being called by WRAITH to join him on a mission a post-soviet Baltic country(Koratvia). As the game progresses, it is revealed that he no longer trusted his longtime teammate, LONESTAR (also been revealed to have been dishonorably discharged from service), due to an unknown incident prior to FTB3.
